How to Root your Samsung Galaxy S III

People often ask me what is root or why do you root your phone? Well rooting your device gives you permissions and full control over your phone. You can customize your phone any way you want.. You dont have to wait for updates by your carrier. Lets say your on jellybean 4.1.2 and the next update 4.2 is a few months away from now well with root you dont have to wait . You can go on websites such as +xda-developers and download to that update with a customized rom of your choice . Better yet alway be ahead of the game and a step further than your carrier which to me makes alot more sense and with the customization of these Roms it brings your Smart Phone to a whole new level. Thanks to +xda-developers  and all there hard work they put in for our Smart Phones to be used in the way I feel they should be used for the best of a phones capability. I will send you over to a video on how to Root your Samsung device... HERE >>>

How to Restore to Stock on your AT&T Samsung Galaxy S III

In some cases you might wanna return to stock on your samsung galaxy s III whether it is to return to the factory for warrenty purposes or just to start over with a clean swipe on your phone to clean up your phone from all your files.Well i am gonna show you how to do just that.First you will need to download your firmware for AT&T and you can find it here .After you have downloaded your firmware you wanna extract it to your desktop which is just an easy place to find your file.Once extracted you will get a tar md5 file.Great now that you have accomplished that you will wanna download Odin which is a download tool for samsung devices which you can find here . Now that you have downloaded your Odin file do the same as you did with your firmware extract it to your desktop where now you will see an application for Odin. What i normally do to make it easier is make a new folder and put the Odin application you have extracted and the firmware you extracted into the same folder.Just makes it easier to locate. Now that you have done that were ready to bring you back to stock. First make sure you have the latest drivers for your computer you can google that but most of the time by plugging in your phone with usb debugging enabled it usually installs the drivers for you. Now that we got that out of the way open up your Odin applicationwhich should be on your desktop open that up and don't get over whelmed but just make sure re-partition is not checked in the box leave everything else the same.Your gonna have to put your phone into download mode by simply holding volume down button center home button and power button all at the same time when you see a new screen pop up hit volume up now that you have your phone into download mode plug your phone into the computer and you shall see a light blue box light up in your com box or yellow if it is not lit up something is wrong and have to re install your drivers. When you see that the com box is lit up click the PDA button on the right side click that and it shall direct you to the firmware tar md5 file if you created a new folder on your desktop i mentioned if not locate it open that up and it should now appear by the PDA section and once you've now seen that by the PDA section hit start give it about ten to fifteen minutes and let it work all the way through and reboot your phone and now you have done it your back to stock on your At&t samsung galaxy s III

How to to recover your Soft brick Samsung Smart Phone

In some cases like myself you download over and over different custom Roms  or have to root over and over or there may be a bad file and some times leads to a soft brick where you cant get to using your phone and your stuck on a logo on your phone and cant get out of it.There are some possible ways in one of the ways I'm gonna demonstrate by showing you is using Odin. That's right the download tool for samsung Odin. Now check to see on which you would use for your different model phone but this is for Samsung phones only Odin you might be able to use for certain other phones but this is for samsung phones only. What you wanna do is put your phone in download mode which is volume down button power button and center home all at the same time once in download mode or in download mode hit volume up .It tells you to hit volume up to move on or volume down to cancel.hit volume up. Now that you have gotten your phone into download mode your gonna wanna head over to the +xda-developers  thread to your firmware stock firmware that is and download your specific carriers firmware.Once downloaded you want to extract the file to make sure once you extracted that file you get an md5 tar file if not something went wrong and try again to extract it or download the file again. Now that you have that all set it is time to download Odin just google it and you will find Odin. This is very easy to do once you downloaded Odin open it up everything in Odin should basically be all set up just make sure re-partition is not checked next to it.Once in Odin you can plug your phone into your computer through the usb port and when doing so you should see a box that is now blue or yellow lit up in the com box if not you have to re install drivers for your computer to recognize your phone i don't mention drivers cause now a days most computers for windows anyways downloads the drivers when you initially plug your phone into your computer. Now that we see a yellow or blue color in the box were ready to proceed.First thing is to click the PDA button in Odin once connected and Odin is opened and when you click the PDA button you will now find where you downloaded and extracted the firmware for your carrier.Make sure its a tar md5 file when you scroll to find that file click on it or open it  to now it will be next to the PDA slot in Odin.Make sure again re-partition is not checked.Once you tar md5 file is next to the PDA slot hit start that's it let it go by itself it should take ten to fifteen minutes let it reboot after and your all done and phone is fixed.I have to warn you that all data is erased  and its like having a new phone so make sure you always have your  stuff backed up to retrieve anything after
